ABA 72nd Annual Section of Antitrust Law Spring Meeting
Axinn partners Craig Minerva, Leslie Overton, Tiffany Rider, and Jimmy Attridge will speak at the American Bar Association's 72nd Annual Section of Antitrust Law Spring Meeting, being held April 10-12 in Washington, DC.
On April 10, Craig will serve as session chair and moderator for the "Fundamentals – Economics" panel. The panel will consist of leading economic faculty who will give an overview of the fundamentals of antitrust economics.
On April 10, Leslie will speak on the "The PE Effect: Antitrust Scrutiny Abounds" panel. Panelists will discuss the increased skepticism private equity firms are facing by antitrust enforcers and the public; if the scrutiny is deserved; and if the proposed Merger Guidelines and HSR changes will curb P&E M&A.
On April 10, Tiffany will speak on the "How Does Merger Review Reform Impact Compliance?" panel. Panelists will discuss what the proposed changes to the HSR filing guidelines and the major revision to the U.S. merger guidelines mean for business leaders and their organizations.
On April 11, Jimmy will serve as session chair and moderator for the "Risky Business: Individual Involvement in Cartels" panels. Panelists will participate in a mock scenario to demonstrate and discuss the growing need for – and tactics of – representing individuals in international cartel investigations.
