Jason earned his JD at Duke University School of Law. He was a summer associate with Axinn in 2019. Prior to Axinn, he served as a legal intern at the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition, Health Care Division, where he aided in investigations and litigation in the pharmaceutical and health information technology industries. At Duke, Jason served as a content editor for the Duke Law and Technology Review and note editor for the Duke Journal of Constitutional Law and Public Policy. He holds a BS in Business Economics from the University of Florida.

Seven Axinn Attorneys Named to 2023 Empire State Counsel Program

Ten Axinn Attorneys Named to Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll

Ten Axinn attorneys have been named to the DC Courts 2023 Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll, which annually recognizes members of the DC Bar who performed 50 hours or more of pro bono legal services. Those who performed over 100 hours received the High Honors distinction. For 2023, 5,032 attorneys registered for the Honor Roll and the members hail from 166 firms, solo practices, federal and local government agencies, corporations, associations, and public interest organizations.

Axinn Successfully Obtains Order Affirming Dismissal of Federal Discrimination Claims Against the American Bankers Association

Axinn successfully obtained an order affirming dismissal of federal discrimination claims against its client, American Bankers Association, in Corey Lea v. U.S. Department of Agriculture in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit. Plaintiff-Appellants in the case accused American Bankers Association and other trade associations of purportedly conspiring with the federal government to discriminate against Black farmers in violation of various constitutional protections and federal and local laws, and sought treble and punitive damages as well as injunctive relief. At the district court below in the Middle District of Tennessee from which the appeal arose, Axinn filed a motion to dismiss the claims.

Lindsey Strang Aberg is an associate in Axinn’s Antitrust group. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, government investigations, mergers and acquisitions, and counseling and compliance. Her recent antitrust work on strategic transactions includes Tyson Foods’ $1.2 billion sale of its pet treats business to General Mills.
