James earned his JD from The George Washington University Law School, where he served as senior executive editor of The George Washington Law Review and was a research assistant for Professor William Kovacic. During law school, James also worked as a student attorney for GW Law’s Public Justice Advocacy Clinic and as a legal intern with the Federal Trade Commission’s Office of International Affairs. He was a summer associate with Axinn in 2023.
Before law school, James worked as a journalist for a major newspaper in South Korea and for an international news agency as its correspondent in Seoul, where he wrote articles on various economic and legal topics.
James holds a BA in International Studies from Yonsei University.
