On May 17, Axinn partner Jeny Maier spoke on the “Expanded Private Rights of Action for Reviewable Practices: What Should a New Regime Look Like?” panel during the Canadian Bar Association’s Competition Law Online Symposium.
Participants discussed the Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry’s consideration of possible amendments to the Competition Act, including increased access to justice for those injured by harmful conduct. Participants also discussed what a new legislative regime should look like and lessons we can learn from the current regime and the American experience.
