May 3, 2021
Axinn represented Columbia Care, a market leader in the two largest cannabis markets in the world (California and Colorado) in its acquisition of Green Leaf Medical, a privately held, fully-integrated cannabis multi-state operator based in the mid-Atlantic region for $240 million with the potential for additional performance-based milestone payments. Announced on December 22, 2020, the acquisition of Green Leaf will expand Columbia Care’s operational scale and footprint in four key, limited license markets by materially enhancing the scale and capabilities of its seed-to-sale operations. The deal closed on June 11, 2021.
The Axinn team was led by Lisl Dunlop and assisted by associate Sam Sherman.
