Axinn Obtains FTC Clearance for Dell’s $67B Acquisition of EMC
February 25, 2016
Axinn served as lead antitrust and global coordinating counsel to Dell Inc. before the FTC in connection with Dell’s $67B acquisition of EMC Corporation. The transaction, announced in October 2015, will create the world’s largest privately-controlled, integrated technology company. The acquisition received approval from the FTC following the expiration of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 on February 22. The transaction remains subject to approval by EMC’s shareholders, regulatory clearance in certain other jurisdictions and other customary closing conditions.
The Axinn team is led by partners John Harkrider, Michael Keeley, Daniel Bitton and Russell Steinthal and assisted by associates Jeny Maier, Michael O’Mara, Kenina Lee, and Kail Jethmalani.
