Experienced Antitrust Attorney Lisl Dunlop Joins Axinn in New York
March 4, 2019
Axinn is pleased to announce that Lisl J. Dunlop has joined its Antitrust Group as a partner in the firm’s New York office, the latest in a recent string of lateral additions to the firm.
Previously serving as the co-chair of the antitrust and competition practice at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, Dunlop has over two decades of experience advising leading US and multinational companies across a broad range of industries, including the health care, media and technology sectors. Dunlop regularly guides clients through the antitrust-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other combinations, and sales and distribution matters. She has also represented clients in antitrust agency investigations and complex antitrust litigations.
“In order to meet growing client demands for sophisticated antitrust guidance, Axinn continues to expand by attracting and hiring some of the most talented antitrust lawyers in the country,” said John Harkrider, Co-Chair of the Antitrust Group and a founding partner of the firm.
“With her substantial international and domestic antitrust experience, Lisl will fit seamlessly in to our world-renowned antitrust team, which is committed to delivering the highest level of service to our clients,” added Michael Keeley, fellow Antitrust Group Co-Chair.
Dunlop is the third recent partner-level hire in the Antitrust Group, following Peter Herrick and Tiffany Rider who joined the group in November and July of this last year from Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates, respectively.
“I’m thrilled to be joining this dynamic and rapidly expanding antitrust team,” Dunlop added. “Demand for the high-level, complex work this team does – from transactions, to investigations, to litigation – is soaring, and I’m excited to be a part of such a highly skilled group.”
Dunlop began her career at Allen Allen & Hemsley in Sydney, Australia, before practicing in the United States. She also worked in the London office of Shearman & Sterling. She is admitted to the bars of New York, the District of Columbia, England and Wales, and Australia.
Dunlop is active in the Antitrust and International Sections of the American Bar Association, currently serving as the Vice Chair of the SAL M&A Committee, and is a former Chair of the Antitrust Section of the New York State Bar Association. She is a frequent writer and speaker on antitrust issues. Recent accolades include recognition as a leading antitrust lawyer in Legal 500, Chambers USA, Who’s Who Legal and Global Competition Review, and JD Supra Readers’ Choice awards in 2017 and 2018.
